Choosing the Sport Science Closed Enrolment Option

If you're planning to enter a Sport Science program, entering the Closed Enrolment option offers the important benefit of granting you early registration for courses. Many classes fill quickly, so early registration helps ensure you get the courses needed to complete your diploma. You must meet specific prerequisites for this program, and spaces are limited - so apply early.

(If you do not qualify as a Closed Enrolment student, you may still register in any Sport Science course as a General Studies student.)

Do You Know?

The stretch-shorten cycle of muscular contraction can dramatically effect the power output of the muscles in question. In many sport actions, muscles actually elongate slightly before contracting. The shorter this turn around time, then the greater the potential for power output. This has tremendous implications for coaching, teaching and fitness. If managed effectively, then the gains are positive....but if mismanaged, then the results could be disastrous.
